Introducing MELSEC in X4 Remote

At Lenze, we promote open standards and compatibility between systems. That is why all modern Lenze controllers support the OPC-UA standard for communication between components. Sometimes however, there might be controllers that do not yet support it. For this reason, our industrial remote access solution X4 Remote also supports a broad variety of industry standard protocols. Today we're happy to add support for another protocol.

Today Lenze is happy to announce a new addition to the ever-growing list of data-logging compatible components: Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi Electric offers a broad range of PLCs and equipment for building smarter industrial machines. To create more flexibility for engineers and operators, Mitsubishi controllers can already benefit from X4 Remotes remote access features. With the quick and easy VPN connection and its included VNC and HTTP services for remote control, X4 Remote already offers added value to machine builders using Mitsubishi components.

Starting today – MELSEC support

Now Lenze is expanding support for Mitsubishi PLCs even further, by adding the MELSEC protocol to X4 Remote. After setting up a MELSEC data source in your machine, you can benefit from our premium features Cloud Logging and Cloud Notify. Collect and visualize your data in attractive dashboards, generate reports and export your data to Excel for further analysis. Cloud Notify will allow you to get alerted to critical machine states and send your maintenance team right away, should problems occur with the machine.

Cloud Logging and Notify also open up a world of future possibilities for your Mitsubishi PLC, by building the dataset and infrastructure needed for other more specialised services such as Lenze Condition Monitoring and predictive Maintenance.
